Environmental protection and sustainable development are key priorities in today’s world. That is why it is important to pay attention to opportunities that help preserve our values and protect our planet. One such opportunity is recycling paper waste and egg cartons.
Many people think that recycling is simply a matter of environmental responsibility, but it is about much more than that.

Unfortunately, there is no precise and up-to-date data on how much paper Romania recycles each year. The latest official figures can be found in a 2019 report by the Romanian National Institute of Statistics, according to which a total of 1.2 million tonnes of paper waste was collected in Romania in 2018. However, these figures do not allow us to determine exactly how much of this paper was actually recycled.
However, we do know that Romania is a member of the European Union, which aims to increase the recycling rate of paper waste. The target set by the EU was to recycle at least 74% of all paper waste by 2020. In contrast, according to the latest available data, the recycling rate in Romania was only around 50%.
The production process comes with many challenges, especially when using secondary raw materials. Recycling is not always simple or easy, and the process can be time-consuming.
In our workshop, when making papier-mâché lamps, we strive to minimize the use of machinery and apply an environmentally conscious approach throughout the entire production process. For example, the moulds take a long time to dry naturally, and apart from a dehumidifier, we do not use any other equipment for drying. We use eco-friendly paints that are less harmful to the environment.
Recycling and sustainable development require small steps, but these small steps make a difference in the long run. Using secondary raw materials is not always easy and can be a time-consuming process. We face numerous challenges when recycling paper waste and egg cartons, such as selecting materials of suitable quality and fine-tuning the processing methods. But we believe that taking these steps is worthwhile for the sake of a sustainable future.
All our products are made with an environmentally conscious approach, and we want our audience to understand the importance of recycling and sustainability as well. That is why we apply an environmentally conscious approach throughout the entire production process, and we encourage people to collect egg cartons. In return, we offer a discount on our papier-mâché lamps.

In order to reduce our ecological footprint, we would like to see more and more people follow our example and strive for sustainability. That is why it is important to us to raise awareness among our audience and build a community that pays attention to environmental protection and sustainability in everyday life.
It is wonderful to see that we have built a community of people who share similar values and with whom, although through small steps, we can work together to promote sustainable development. Through our lamps, we hope to reach and convince even more people in the future that every small step matters when it comes to protecting our environment.
We design our lamps to last for many years. Our goal is not for clients to replace them every year, but for them to enjoy and use them for a long time.
